The conical connection eliminates the micro-gap found in flat-to-flat (butt-joint) connections, reducing the risk of bacterial infiltration and micro-movements at the implant-abutment interface. Combined with platform switching and a machined collar, PSK creates favourable conditions for long-term crestal bone preservation and healthy soft tissue attachment.
PSK is available with three thread pitch configurations: Micro, Medium, and Normo. This allows clinicians to select the optimal thread geometry for the bone density at each individual site — from dense cortical bone in the anterior mandible to softer cancellous bone in the posterior maxilla.
